I thought this film was one of the best I have seen. It was so powerful and I will never forget it. The scenes really explained the history and helped me understand what it was really like at that time in America. I learned things from that movie that I could never learn in a history textbook. It was so inspiring and made me feel proud of him, even though I never knew him. I wish I could of met him in person and I hope he realized the affect he had on America.
Jackie had a huge impact on the baseball world, which really opened up the eyes of the whole country. He for sure helped the country by showing his bravery and inspiring other young athletes to do the same as he did. He made a statement and he will never be forgotten.
The persistence goal has a lot of meaning to me because I believe consistency is everything. Being amazing one time will not make an impact on your life and on others lives, you have to constantly be amazing. I have to always do the right thing in my life and always help others in order to make a difference.
This quotes means that Jackie believe one person's life is not important unless that have made an impact on someone else. Living for yourself is one thing, but living for other people and making on impact on someone else is much more important. I do agree with this because in the long run, no one will remember you unless you made an impact on their life.
I agree with Kelsi that this was one of the best and most inspirational movies I have ever seen in and outside of the class. I also agree that Jackie inspired many young athletes with his bravery. In the movie, it showed a little boy who had Jackie sign his baseball, and at the end of the movie, it told us that the little boy grew up to be a professional baseball player. That is only one example of the thousands he inspired.
ReplyDeleteI agree with Kelsi's take on goals. It is all about consistency. You cannot get something by just trying once and thinking that is all the work you have to do accomplish something. It takes hard work and a lot of effort all the time.
ReplyDeleteI agree that Jackie had a large impact on the world of baseball. He is an admirable figure because he shows that by getting what you want you cant just do it, but you have to do more. If Robinson had only done the bare minimum would he be so honorable? No, and I think that is what needs to be stressed.
ReplyDeleteI agree with Kelsi's first paragraph. It was extremely powerful and inspirational and we wouldn't be able to learn this from a text book. I like how she talked about persistence in her post because it showed a real connection she made from the movie. I also agree with her when she says it is important to make an impact on someone else's life.
